In celebration of Sandwich Week we have been enjoying this visual feast from Nick Chaffe.

Nick Chaffe was commissioned by Hyper Island Manchester to produce a mural to  represent the school’s philosophy. The illustration started at 5pm and ended at 12.30am, with only a short break for an egg and cress sandwich. Click here  or on the image below to see Nick in action.

Following on from the success of their summer campaign, Hatched London commissioned Gary Redford to illustrate three more posters for The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The campaign ran across the UK’s mainline train stations and The London Underground and was a finalist in the CIM’s Marketing Excellence Awards 2012.

Ben Scruton worked with Lightweight Media to create this brilliant animation for Nesta. The animation was commissioned to create awareness of the work Nesta does and has received a great response. To view the video click on the image below.

Cristina Guitian was commissioned by the Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to create an illustration inspired by the contributions to their ‘World We Want for Girls’  blog. Cristina took the ideas from the blog and shaped them into a vision representing an ideal future for girls.

John Rielly was commissioned by Renault to illustrate a pop art version of the Mona Lisa for their recent outdoor campaign in France. The campaigns tagline ‘Even an icon needs to learn how to change’ was supported by John’s interpretation of the Mona Lisa, alongside a contemporary incarnation, and the original artwork.

Gary Redford was commissioned by Heathrow Airport to illustrate their Christmas Shopping Promotion. Gary created a series of purple ribbons, which have been placed across billboards, Underground advertisements, digital media and taxis across London.

Gary Redford was commissioned by Waitrose to update the artwork for their ‘Community Matters’ scheme. Gary created a great illustration for the campaign, which can currently be seen on the Waitrose Christmas TV advert.

NedBank commissioned Pete Harrison to illustrate their recent print campaign. The South African Bank asked Pete to illustrate some of the greatest partnerships of the natural world for a series of adverts. The campaign was designed to highlight the banks own belief in strong partnerships.

Garry Walton is the latest Meiklejohn artist to work on NewHaven’s ‘Twin Towns’ campaign for Tennent’s lager. The campaign, which has featured artwork from three Meiklejohn artists, has had a great public reaction and has picked up various awards including the Grand Prix at the 2012 Scottish Creative Awards. Gary Redford and James McFarlane have previously created artworks for the campaign, Art Buyer, Claudia Lewry said of the project “We’re so pleased with the way each one has come out and especially impressed with the illustrations – they are really lovely.”
